Found interlocking with PF8, this is a crazy tabular amethyst fully terminated crystal with secondary hematite included amethyst. The base structure has obvious amethyst phantoms and zoning. The secondary growth is filled with needle sprays of unknown mineral.
Still in need of a professional cleaning, this is one of the most unique pieces of amethyst found in North Carolina.
The back side of this piece has small chipping, occurred long ago in pocket. No damage during mining of this piece whatsoever.
One of only two tabular crystals found in this pocket.
210 MM X 145 MM X 30MM
