Smokey Quartz point
Balochistan mountains, Balochistan, Pakistan
This beauty came from a unique new pocket in the rugged mountains of Balochistan. This was the nicest crystal out of the find. I was offered more after the first find and all of the pieces had major damage due to blasting. This crystal shows absolute clarity while still having a smokey hue and interesting growth characteristics. On one face near the base this piece has the mica and feldspar of the pegmatite from which it came. The base is a contact point, there is also minor damage to the tip. This hardly detracts from this stunning crystal.
