What we're doing in Herkimer could not be described without describing my friendship and business relationship with Reanna digrigoli
I met Reanna in Tucson in 2017 first looking at flats of material I had for sale and later that evening at a Tucson after hours party. We immediately hit it off with a lot of core similarities and over the years we became close.
I began to realize that Reanna knew a lot about the crystal industry and basically ate, breathed and lived the business.
Down the Herkimer Rabbit Hole..
Over time I realized she had a slight obsession with Herkimer diamonds. The double terminated clear crystals that form in and around Herkimer New York.
I had dug my first pocket in Herkimer way back in 1999, but hadn't much experience with the material since.
In 2020, Reanna and I began to work with each other more, until I helped her invest in her SiO2 property in Herkimer, New York. This was a gorgeous property in middleville that has waterfalls and a stream and a funky Amish barn and some herkimer's to be found.
Hidden Gem Mine is born
From her I learned of the important differentiations of localities in this area; What came from where, what Middleville was, where the sceptors came from, etc. She knew it all.
Aside from working on some other business interests, Reanna and I have invested in a new mine in Herkimer. Our brand new mine the Hidden Gem Mine is just that, we're so excited to scratch the ground on new property that is covered in Herkimers.
