In the middle of 2023 we were told about a new find of purple fluorite octahedrons forming on balls of what seemed to have been fluoride with interesting formations of quartz. Up until this time there had been not hardly a mention of purple fluorite in India.
We showed this material in the 2023 Denver show on a limited level and continued to the 2024 Tucson show with some stellar pieces of this material. This was a very limited production but made incredible thumbnails and a couple of the pockets were really good.
Although getting material from India can be a bit expensive. We will continue to work on a limited basis with our Indian counterparts trying to find and offer new exciting minerals from this country.
Here's something we call Green leopard quartz, which after bringing it to the lab turned out to be a fairly rare inclusion of Pumpellyite.
While working with this mine we were exposed to other Indian quartz that had not really been seen on the open market.
Following my obsession with good inclusion quartz, we also now carry enhydro amethyst, a strange amphibole included quartz with yellows, orange and green hairs, we call "lion's mane". We carry Himalayan pieces with chlorite anatase rutile and other interesting inclusions and growth patterns.
